Pedestrian Horn
Before the pandemic and the advent of congestion pricing, Manhattan streets began to feel increasingly combative for pedestrians. Drivers, many on the clock for ride-sharing apps, were jocking for position in crosswalks, even when it wasn’t their light.
Additionally, it felt like honking was getting out of control (nothing new). Drivers insulated from their own volumes.
I decided to wire a “pedestrian horn,” and took it to the street for this satirical video.
NYC happens to be only city in America where more people take public transportation daily than drive their own vehicles.
