Subway Signs
In NYC, subway conductors have to point at a black and white sign to verify the train is centered before opening doors. It’s called “point and call,” a practice adopted from transit systems in Japan.
I worked with my advertising mentor to film a small stunt about it. The video happened to gain traction through online media as well as on TV.
Is this the kind of thing technology can automate or validate? Of course the conductors make a living from doing it. Maybe we could pay McKinsey 2 trillion to look into it.
